Montenegro Visa System
Visa regime between Montenegro and other countries is regulated by the Decree on visa regime https://www.gov.me/en/government-of-montenegro/visas-and-entry-requirements.
Visa in itself does not grant permission to work in Montenegro. Person who intends to work in Montenegro must obtain a temporary residence permit for the purpose of employment or seasonal work, on the grounds of previously issued work permit.
airport-transit visa (visa A),
short stay visa (Visa C),
temporary visa (visa D).
Airport Visa Transit Visa (Visa A) is issued to a foreigner for one or more crossings through the international transit area of the airport during the interruption of the journey or transfer between the two phases of the international flight without entering the territory of Montenegro.
A short stay visa (Visa C) is issued for the purpose of transit through Montenegro or for the purpose of entering and staying in the territory of Montenegro which can not be longer than 90 days for a period of 180 days, starting from the date of first entry.
A temporary visa (visa D) is issued to a foreigner who intends to stay in Montenegro for more than 90 days, for the purpose of performing business activities, work or performing a service in foreign accredited diplomatic and consular missions in Montenegro, but not longer than 180 days in for a period of one year, counting from the day of the first entry.
